Irish Reproducibility Network (IRN)
Strengthening the quality and trustworthiness of research in Ireland
The Irish Reproducibility Network (IRN) is a national, peer-led consortium dedicated to improving the quality and transparency of research across all disciplines. We work to ensure Ireland remains a hub for world-leading research by promoting openness, collaboration, and sustainable training.
Our Core Goals
We grow sustainable open-research training through institutional memberships, local leads, and a train-the-trainer model.
We expand the reach of open-research practices through joint events, communications, and national collaborations.
We provide structured training and professional development, supporting both accredited learning and grassroots initiatives.
Our Background
Emerging from the TROPIC project, the IRN has built momentum for open research by connecting researchers, librarians, and research offices nationwide. We address challenges of reproducibility and replicability to support better, more transparent practices across every discipline.
The network is coordinated by a Supervisory Board and supported by two Advisory Committees, ensuring broad representation and guidance for the future.
Together, we are transforming Ireland’s research culture—building trust, openness, and excellence for the global community.
